Orca Island Cabins is located in scenic Humpy Cove.

This is a integral position within our company.
The operations manager works directly with the owners.
This position requires critical thinking and problem solving.
Operating in a remote location provides logistical issues.
Considered candidates will be organized, provide excellent customer service, and able to work within a small team.
We are a small family owned and operated business and our staff numbers are limited.
Operations manager can be expected to help with housekeeping during heavy turn over days, grounds maintenance as well as helping with guest check in.
The position is salary based for year round employment.
The successful candidate will have to be in Seward AK seasonally from April 1 to October 1.
The remainder of the year will be limited hours based on maintaining operations, residing in Seward, AK is not mandatory.
Responsibilities and Duties Taking reservations and answering the business phone even if calls come in outside of normal operation hours Email correspondence including reservation confirmations, and guest related inquires Scheduling staff and water taxi Cabin allotments; we have 8 cabins and guests check in and out on different days of the week Managing social media pages Meeting guests arriving on the pier Assist with check in - property tour and orientation Attend functions and luncheons to help promote Orca Island Cabins Website and online presence (essentially working with our contractors when changes or updates are needed).
Qualifications and Skills Customer service oriented Online marketing knowledge Knowledge of Excel and or Quickbooks are an asset Graphic Design basics Able to assist with physical labor (i.
e.
helping guests with luggage and supplies) Able to comfortable navigate stairs and walkways Preferential Consideration Will be Awarded to Candidates who Have:
Deckhand or boating knowledge/experience WFR certification Sea Time to qualify for 6 pac vessel Captain's License or Desire to obtain 6 pac vessel Captain's License Digital Marketing knowledge Already residing in Alaska Job Type:
